This innovative addition to the exhaust ejectors provides numerous benefits. By deflecting the exhaust gases 30 degrees from the exhaust ejector, the following advantages are experienced:

• Lower temperatures on the tailboom bonded panels
  
  
• Reduced temperatures at the No. 3 drive shaft bearing location
  
  
• Less damage to the tailboom paint finish
  
  
• Significant reduction in soot deposits on tailboom

Approximate temperature drop with Exhaust Deflectors installed: 43.3 degrees C (110 F)

850 Exhaust Deflector sets are in service globally and 32 units are monitored regularly:

• 11 Exhaust Deflectors have exceeded 2800 hours of service
